Timothy Grover joined our North Shore office earlier this year as a consultant in our property and commercial team, moving to New Zealand from the UK along with wife Karen and Oscar the cat.
Tim graduated in 2005 with a bachelors degree in law, and since then, has worked in a variety of firms and roles in the UK along the way to qualifying as a solicitor: volume conveyancing, private international law, counter-fraud injury litigation, and litigation in general. On qualification and admission to the roll of solicitors of the High Court of England and Wales, he switched to commercial law and has been doing it ever since.
Regarding the path that led him to the study of law, Tim is “…sorry to say there is no backstory of a burning desire for justice… just some surprisingly good results in college exams and having to make a choice about my degree. Medicine had already been taken by my sister the year earlier (and truth be told I wasn’t smart enough by half) so I went for law which much better suited my skillset”.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys road cycling, skiing, exploring, Nordic-noir TV, and setting himself personal development goals; this year he aims to become proficient at swimming and swim a beach swim event.
