Lynda joined Gaze Burt in March 2021 as a legal secretary for the conveyancing team. She is from the Solomon Islands and has lived in Auckland since 2016 when she initially came to study at Unitec. She graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Communication and landed her first role in NZ as a Personal Assistant for an ECE company. Before coming to New Zealand, Lynda worked in the Solomon Islands for around eight years. Whilst mainly working in administration roles, her work fields varied from the local legal sector to an infrastructure project.
In early 2021 Lynda felt she needed a new challenge and to step out of her comfort zone, and decided to apply for a role with Gaze Burt.
“As a Christian, the Gaze Burt faith-based values really stood out to me – it was a key factor in my decision to join the law firm as I wanted to be part of a service that had a strong and steady foundation.”
She is currently enjoying the fast-paced modus operandi of her role and being able to assist clients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Lynda enjoys reading, writing, music and spending time with family and close friends.
