Annelise joined us near the end of last year as a summer clerk, working in our trusts administration team. She’s now staying on permanently in a part time capacity, in the same role.

Annelise was led to studying law due to an early interest in looking at different perspectives of the same situation. Now undertaking her LLB(hons)/BCom studies, she hopes to extend this and continue to develop her understanding of how/why people make decisions, and how law can empower people while delivering justice.

Annelise’s major is in accounting and she worked part time at an accounting firm (while studying) for almost two years before starting at Gaze Burt. She’s looking forward to starting her criminal law and policy seminar this year.

Annelise is enjoying expanding her understanding throughout study in both her degrees. Furthermore, she’s interested in the big picture of how law affects people, so is interested in exploring all areas of law.

Outside of work Annelise enjoys meeting and support her fellow students though organisations such as TSCF. She’s been learning modern calligraphy, and working on reading widely.
