Today Immigration New Zealand announced the new 2021 Resident Visa. This is exciting news for those currently in New Zealand and looking into their options for residency.

You may be eligible to apply for residence under this new visa if you are already in New Zealand on a work-related visa (full list of eligible visas listed on the Immigration website), and

  1. You have lived in New Zealand for 3 or more years, or
  2. You earn $27 per hour or more, or
  3. You work in a role on a scarce list (as listed on the Immigration New Zealand website)

(These conditions must be met as of 29 September 2021.)
