David has been in practice as a lawyer for over 30 years. He became a partner in Gaze Burt in 2004. Prior to that he was a partner at Sellar Bone & Partners and at Macalister Mazengarb Perry Castle.
He has practised in many areas of law but now specialises in property, trusts and estate planning, company and commercial law.
David is active in community and church activities including the Chairman of a preschool board in Mt Albert, the chair of Mt Albert Baptist Church and an executive member of Scripture Union. For many years he directed a large children’s club in Mt Albert and he continues to have a keen interest in Christian education to children.
He has a particular interest in trusts as tool for asset protection and estate planning, being involved as a trustee or legal advisor for a large number of trusts.
His property practice involves advising a wide variety of private and commercial clients on property acquisitions and sales.
