After admission Neil was involved in general practice as a solicitor for a sole practitioner for several years. Following that experience he worked in a five partner firm undertaking common law including criminal law, family court, civil litigation, appeals, bankruptcies and winding ups.

Neil became a partner of Gaze Burt in 1989. He retired from the partnership in 1992 to take up a position as Solicitor General for the Republic of Kiribati. This position also involved acting as Attorney General when the Attorney General was away. Neil was also the Registrar of Companies.

In 1995 Neil returned to Gaze Burt and took up position as an associate with Gaze Burt. His current practice is in general law but also dealing with litigation, employment and commercial work. Neil is based at our North Shore office.
