Nathan is part of Gaze Burt's litigation/dispute resolution team, and is primarily involved with employment law advice and representation, debt recovery and civil matters. Nathan splits his time fairly evenly between acting for individuals and companies, and appreciates the different experiences that each provide him.
Nathan has appeared in the District Court and High Court and has represented clients in a number of employment negotiations and disciplinary meetings.
A sample of who Nathan has acted for includes: a national petrol and oil company; a number of well known franchise systems, and an Indian based IT company.
Prior to joining Gaze Burt Nathan worked voluntarily with Deborah Manning in the well known Zaoui case, and for the Waitakere Community Law Centre. Nathan’s Honours thesis was on religious freedoms under our Bill of Rights Act, with reference to whether Muslim women should be permitted to give evidence while wearing burqas.
When not working, he enjoys travelling, photography, and social sports, among which pool and 10 pin bowling feature heavily.
